Yes, they’ve been going for over five years. Okay,
their debut album entered in the world back in
late 2012. But hey, Autumn Owls’ slow ascent has
recently gone into hyperdrive. If 2013 was the year
of their dreams, as they wowed crowds across
North America and shared stages with some of
their heroes (the mighty Low included) the next
12 months could find their ultimate ambitions
becoming a reality. Purveyors of ‘deconstructed
folk’, they are a band with true pedigree. They’re
also a delight to see on stage, while Between
Buildings, Toward The Sea went down a storm upon
its release. Last April, acoustic versions of those
tracks arrived in the form of The Long Way Around,
showcasing the inherent strength of their melodies.
Experimental yet compelling, they have what it takes to join the greats of cerebral rock.
