trio have had music lovers in the capital chattering
excitedly throughout 2013. And flocking to their
gigs. One of the revelations of the Jägermeister
Freezer Sessions before Christmas, Other Creatures
have garnered plenty of comparisons to Pixies
of late. A big compliment, if not completely on
target; they do share similarly shuddering basslines
and a real love for the dark side of life. Right now
‘Luxembourg’ is the monumental show-stopper,
‘Lady Boy’ a thrilling glimpse at their insidious
underbelly. The kind of support act most bands fear
are likely to one-up the headliners, Other Creatures
will be headlining venues far and wide very soon
indeed.
